A + K = ???

There are so many things I've thought about relating to this baby:

Boy or Girl?
Personality: Outgoing or Introverted?
Attitude towards life: Optimistic or Pessimistic?
... and the most superficial of all: The Looks Factor: Cute or Ugly?

Not that anyone really thinks their own baby is ugly... but what if? You always hear people say there's no such thing as an ugly baby, but we all know those people are liars. What if our baby gets all of our worst features? Poor kid.

Anyway, here are a few pics of me and Alex in our younger years. You can judge for yourselves whether we're bound to produce uglings or cutelings...

Alex:

Me:
(Yes, I was a fatty. I'd like to think I got better with age)

And lastly, here's proof that even as a child Alex liked to COMPLAIN!!

Okay excuse me for stating the obvious, but its out of shear amazement...holy cow, you were a fatty!! Denis is currently not able to catch his breath from laughing at the second picture. Thank you for brightening my day. I'm pretty sure if I saw you as a baby I would squeeze those cheeks for an eternity. P.S. alex had cute little deer eyes.

Just so you know, I did inherit all of my parents' worst features. I think i turned out fine... maybe not, the fact that i can't get a date(I'm an Alex though, i don't like dates...) is a hint.

I'm pretty sure your baby will be super cute. :)

Love you

Maren

Hi! I caved in, finally. O_o How do I subscribe to your blog? Mom's had a handy "subscribe to this blog" link but I couldn't find it on any of the other blogs... :\

Love the photos. lol

Lynda, I think you can go to the very bottom of the blog and click the "Subscribe To Posts" link. Try it and let me know if it works.

Maren.. apparently all of your parents' worst features made a very beautiful girl. You can't help that Bellingham is loaded with stupid boys.

Valerie, glad you liked the pics. My double chin has mostly disappeared, but I have other "cheeks" to worry about that are quite large... :)

i too had the same fear. while i was pregnant i was constantly looking on the hospital's webpage at all the pictures of the newborn babies. it's true you never think your own baby is ugly even if she/he is. looking back at pictures of brooklin, i do have to say that she is definitely a lot cuter now. i'm not saying i thought she was ugly by any means. babies just aren't that cute until they have a little more fat on them and look less like aliens. wait a couple months before you make the call. :) i'm sure whatever sex it is, it will be a beautiful baby.

Oh, well... if you can't have cute... I'm sure you could be pleased with "interesting" ... because I'm sure your children will be that. I'm suspecting they'll be cute too.

All you kids were little chunks at that age but I think you might have been a bit rounder than some. Guess you loved food even then. ;-) (I'm remembering the smuggled empty baby meat sticks jars in your bedroom closet.)

On Maren's comment... girls like you (Maren) typically bloom in college because it takes the boys that long to be mature enough to appreciate someone of your quality and also, not to be intimidated by your classiness (I know you are a closet goofball... but out and about, you have a certain poise and reserve). I'm thinking your time's coming real soon. :-)
